What Makes 'Fresh Air And'… Fresh

We’ve all been there. You sign up for a gym or a big fitness class, determined this will be the time it sticks. You walk in, music pounding, maybe thirty people already in neat rows. The instructor calls out cues over the mic, but you’re not really sure if you’re squatting the way you’re meant to. You leave sweaty, maybe a bit lost, and you promise yourself you’ll try again next week.

But here’s the thing: when it comes to building strength, energy, and confidence in your body, small matters.

At Fresh Air And, our small-group personal training sessions are capped at four people. That means you’re never just a face in the crowd. You get coaching that’s tailored to your body, your needs, and your goals. Someone is there to spot when your form is a little off, to celebrate when you hit a milestone, and to gently nudge you to go for that extra rep when you’ve got it in you.

It’s the opposite of being lost in a big class. It’s personal, it’s attentive, and it’s progress you can actually feel.

The hidden costs of cheap fitness

On the surface, a £5 fitness class might look like great value. But what are you actually buying? A loud workout, sure. A chance to move your body, yes. But: no progression, no accountability, no one really knowing if you’re getting stronger, or if you’re even doing it safely.

Sometimes the “cheap” option ends up costing more in the long run - in frustration, inconsistency, or even injury.

What we offer at Fresh Air And is different. You’re not just paying for a slot in the timetable. You’re investing in a system that’s designed for real, sustainable progress - the kind that builds strength for your everyday life, not just another sweaty hour you tick off.

What makes Fresh Air And… fresh

Our name is no accident. Fresh Air And is a space that feels different from the second you walk in. There’s no intimidation, no mirrors lining the walls, no expectation that you “keep up.”

Just a calm, supportive environment with the freedom to train at your level, surrounded by people who want the same thing you do: to feel stronger, healthier, and more at home in their bodies.

It’s serious training, yes - but never at the expense of humour, connection, or kindness. There’s room for real conversations here. Room to notice your progress, even in the middle of life’s busyness. Room to belong.

An invitation

If you’ve been curious about strength training but put off by the thought of a big gym, this is your invitation to try something different. Our small-group personal training is open to complete beginners as well as those who already lift, with support that adapts to you.

You can come along for a single trial session, or try three sessions in a week for £40 to really get a feel for it. Either way, you’ll see what we mean when we say: what makes Fresh Air And… fresh, is you.
